Adobe AIR como he explicado en post anteriores es un ambiente que trabaja bajo diferentes plataformas (Windows, MAC OS, Linux) que ejecuta programas a nivel de desktop application (RIA). Programas que corren como programas regulares a nivel de desktop comunicándose con data en el Internet. Adobe Flex es uno de las diferentes herramientas para desarrollar Rich Internet Applications (RIA). Un buen ejemplo de este concepto es la página Connect Now, en estasabían les presento eBay desktop. Es eBay pero a nivel de desktop application, trabajando bajo el ambiente de AIR si realmente eres o no fiebru de eBay te recomiendo que bajes esta herramienta todo funciona de manera real-time esta super finooo… Lo único que por lo menos a mi me incomoda un poco es que haces todo el proceso rápido pero en ocasiones se tarda en llegar las cosas. Every day I see how this library is getting more popular every day that past. People is getting more creative and also they are using all the tools they can for the rigth occasion. Flex is getting RIA to another level; one of the nicest things about Flex is the easy way it communicates with any server language. Here is a very nice simple tutorial showing the communication between Java Servlets, Google Applications Engine and Flex. In this tutorial they create a simple phone book that runs under GAE.

For those who are blind with Netflix here is a new tool call Queued by the people of Sitepen.

Good Afternoon to all, is being a long time since I update my blog, no worries today I return with more enthusiasm than ever. Why? because Adobe has announce a new way to generate money with your Flash or Flex projects with Distribution. Also a way to communicate with video, VOIP, chat and more with your RIA with Collaboration. This technique is very similar to the one that Apple used to develop apps on the iPhone. The only difference is that with Adobe you don’t encapsulate just on a phone works with application out of mobile and desktop applications.

Appcelerator Titanium is a open source standalone player who was release by the people from Apache. It compiles web applications into desktop code works with css, html and javascript in Windows and Mac.
